The year is ending and so is Valorant competitive season. Why not grind the last act of Episode 7 with the best agents to use this current patch?

Oh no, you’re a noob and this year’s competitive season is ending but you still haven’t grind your competitive rank?

Riot just released Patch 7.10! Bringing in changes for Jett and Deadlock, with some Deathmatch exclusive changes for agents Reyna and Fade. Let’s not forget the new agent and big-time buffs that Cypher received in the last patch! With the upcoming Patch 7.12 on the way, do you find yourself hopeless that you have no chance of reaching your desired placement on time?

Fear not! This article will help you auto-lock agents to help you reach a respectable competitive rank to save you some dignity in this current patch!

5. Killjoy

First, if you are new to Valorant, you must know what role you want to play. If you like to stay in sites as a defender or protect the Spike as an attacker then being a Sentinel is a suitable role for beginners like you!

Sentinel agents emphasize defensive plays and anchoring sites they’re defending. As the attacker, Killjoy’s bots can be used to guard the flank against those sneaky players. Killjoy is the agent that personifies the ideal Sentinel for every team. All of Killjoy’s utilities can cause significant damage to those who dare to enter a site where her bots are placed and they hurt! And they are so cute! Who doesn’t want a turret that acts like a guard dog that can literally shoot intruders?

4. Gekko

The next agent on this list is a new Initiator. As a defender, their role is to ensure intel is gathered for the team. When attacking, as the name suggests, they are the ones responsible for initiating the first move to assist the team in a full-on charge.

Gekko is the Swiss army knife of all Initiators. His abilities consist of cute chewy gummies that are almost Pokemon-esque, but do not be fooled! Gekko can throw you his Mosh Pit that can eliminate opponents if you stand on it too long, he might pull up his Dizzy that spit goo at you to render you blind for a bit, and maybe stay out of Thrash’s way when unleashed because it can stun you for a while! Oh, have I introduced to you his Wingman, who can literally plant the spike for beginners like you so you can focus on improving your awful aim?

3. Brimstone

One essential role in the game is the Controllers. They control and assist the team by controlling the pace of the game with the utilities that are expected from Controller agents. They are the team captain who makes sure their team has entered the site guns blazing and all corners secured.

So it is fitting to say that Brimstone is the best agent to use in competitive mode on any map as a beginner. With his easy-to-use utilities, you will immediately grasp the importance of smoking down openings in the site. Attacking or defending, as long as you put down those covers for your team, you can sit back and relax, maybe shoot your molly from time to time and when it’s ready, you can use Brimstone’s Ultimate ability to literally open up the sky.

2. Phoenix

Being a Duelist is a gargantuan task. They are responsible for engaging first with the opponents, making sure to not mess up the opportunity the Initiator made, and checking the areas where the Controllers haven’t secured. If you like this role, then maybe Phoenix is the agent for confident beginners like you!

The coolheaded Phoenix is a fiery agent with hot hands that can burn opponents with his flaming hot abilities. Phoenix is the Duelist for beginners, with a basic learning curve, everyone can ignite the field and bring the fire to the opponents because this agent is lit! If you’re feeling a little toasty then maybe run it back with his Ultimate, use a bit of flash and flare, and carry the torch to victory! Just be careful because one wrong move and you might burn out.

1. Raze

Boo hoo! Everybody got fast hands and already locked the agents above, what do we do?! Then pick another Duelist! Every team needs two Duelists in every match, Phoenix can’t win it alone, luckily Raze is the best agent to use for beginners!

Every Valorant beginner must’ve wanted to use Raze. All those highlight videos and best plays compilation is as explosive as it gets. All of Raze’s utilities explode causing real damage to anyone unlucky enough to be in the crosshair. Her signature utility is reminiscent of every FPS game out there because it is literally just a grenade. Not to mention her Ultimate, which is a full-blown rocket launcher that can wipe out a team with a single blast! so how about bringing in the fun with a wild agent like Raze?

Bonus!

Sage

I can hear the groans and the disapproval from the tryhards out there, they must be asking– where is Sage? Sure, here you go.

Every team wants a healer, it’s like a cheat code to every team-based online game out there. It is an essential role that not only keeps your HP numbers up and running but also an icon of assurance for every player in the team that maybe they won’t die just yet. What a scrub.

Sage is a Sentinel agent that has a signature ability to heal others (or themself). Her other abilities consist of an orb that slows down an enemy when thrown on the floor and a literal wall of ice that blocks the opponent’s entry, taking it down will be a logistical sacrifice as it takes a full round of ammo before it breaks! Sage’s Ultimate ability will resurrect anyone in the team who died early in the round, or you can choose to save it if that one annoying teammate keeps bugging you to revive him.

Are you ready?

That should be all. Don’t forget this list, it gave you all the best agents for beginners in every role in the game so you better remember! You have two months left, that is at least thirty days of grinding in competitive mode. What are you waiting for, why are you still here? Go win some matches now!
